Radiesse

Dallas Radiesse Specialists -- Genecov Plastic Surgery Group

Administering Radiesse to Patients in Dallas, Richardson and Carrollton, TX

What is Radiesse?

Radiesse is a calcium based injectable treatment that helps minimize the appearance of wrinkles and restores lost volume to the face.   Our patients in Dallas, Richardson and Carrollton often use Radiesse injections to reduce the signs of aging, as well as sculpt the face slightly, or treat scars.

Radiesse is thicker than hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm and Restylane, so it is mainly used in deep tissues of the mid face-- to fill out cheekbones, for example.  It may also be injected into the chin to provide more projection and shape, which we tend to lose as we age, and can also be used in combination with other products to decrease moderate to severe wrinkles or fill in scars.    Radiesse is unique in that it stimulats collagen production so your skin improves over time. It is injected deeper into the skin than other dermal fillers, so you may experience more discomfort. Because of this, a local anesthetic is generally used when injecting Radiesse.

If you live in Dallas, Richardson, Carrollton or elsewhere in northern Texas and you'd like to learn more about average Radiesse prices, or you want to see some Radiesse before and after photos, call us today to set up a personal consultation.

How is Radiesse Administered?

The treatment will generally take around 15 minutes to half an hour, but may take longer if you are receiving a combination treatment. The therapy is injected through a tiny needle at the site of the wrinkle or volume loss, and results appear immediately.

In our practice, Radiesse injections are performed under a physician's guidance, and most times by the physician himself.   A topical numbing cream is typically applied and our practitioners also mix lidocaine with the product before it’s injected to ensure more comfort.   If Radiesse is being injected deep into the facial tissue to fill out cheekbones, a local anesthetic, like that used by dentists, will be administered.

Am I a Good Candidate for Radiesse?

As an injectable treatment, Radiesse can be used on almost any patient but most of the patients we treat in Dallas, Richardson and Carrollton tend to be between the ages of 35 and 60. If you're unhappy with any of the following, you may be a good candidate for Radiesse:
>Volume loss in cheeks

>Nasolabial folds (smile lines)

>Marionette lines (those running downward from the corner of your mouth)

>Scarring

>Skin depressions

What Kind of Post-Operative Radiesse Care Can I Expect?

Following the Radiesse treatment, you may experience slight swelling and bruising around the injection site. This should subside within 24 to 36 hours. And a cold compress will help reduce swelling and any discomfort. Aside from that, patients are able to resume normal activities right away. However, your doctor may advise you to stay out of the sun.

What are the Typical Results of Radiesse?

Radiesse is the most long-lasting of the injections used. It is generally repeated every 12 to 18 months. Though it's slightly more uncomfortable than some other options, many patients are attracted to the fact that you'll need fewer follow-up injections overall. In addition, most of our patients can see up to an 80 percent improvement immediately following the procedure.

What are Dallas Radiesse Costs?

Radiesse prices fall within a wide range, as each patient is different. Some may only want to treat one area of the face, while others require treatment in several areas. During your initial consultation, one of our highly skilled practitioners will assess your specific needs and discuss costs from there. Call today to set up your appointment and find out how Radiesse can benefit you.
